This rifle is made in the style of Jacob Dickert, Lancaster, about 1780. .54 CAL. swamped barrel, 1.08 IN. at the breech. The barrel is held by four steel wedges with the heads in a half oval shape overlaid with sterling silver to dress up the left side.

The lock and tang bolt heads are casehardened to avoid buggering the slots. The front sight is made by folding sterling silver sheet. Brazing into one piece and filing it up.

The release for the handmade patchbox is at the top of the buttplate. The buttplate is two inches wide and quite massive. No need for a toe plate on this or the originals.

Lightly antiqued with tarnished metal and a little blacking in the low areas of the wood.

Signed and dated.
